How to make rice cake


Rice It is a food grain that is commonly used in almost all countries of the world and lends itself to all kinds of mixtures and dressings, being possible to cook it with a variety of different supplements, resulting in this nutritious way, since by itself it does not contain enough base food It is therefore interesting to use it as a nutritional principle, in sickly states, when the stomachs cannot be overloaded.

You will need to:
  • 200 g of rice
  • 2 slices of monkfish
  • 4 prawns
  • 12 mussels
  • 1 cup mayonnaise or tomato sauce
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 thyme branch
  • 1 parsley branch

In a saucepan placed at the fire, with lightly salted water, the monkfish slices, prawns, mussels, carrot pieces, bay leaf, garlic clove, thyme and parsley are cooked.


After 10 minutes of cooking it is removed from the fire, straining the broth and putting it back in the saucepan or pot. The rice is cooked in this broth, reserving the fish.


With half the rice cooked a butter-filled mold is filled, putting the crumbled monkfish on top and a few tablespoons of well-concentrated mayonnaise or tomato sauce, covering with the rest of the rice, pressing to take the form of the mold.


If possible, leave a few moments in the hot oven, so that it dries well.


It is demoulded in a round fountain, covering with the rest of the mayonnaise or tomato sauce and garnishing with the prawns and mussels, to which the upper leaflet will have been separated. You can also take out both.
