How to make chocolate French toast

  • 1 liter of milk
  • 250 ml of cream (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

To get started, we cut the bread into slices of about a centimeter, that is, of small size so that more quantity comes out and the toast is not cloying.


Meanwhile, we heat the milk together with the cream, in case we decide to add cream. Once we have heated these two ingredients, we add the sugar and two tablespoons of cocoa powder to make the chocolate base.


When we have all these ingredients together it is necessary to stir them well, in order to eliminate all the lumps and so that they are completely softened.


Then, when the mixture has cooled, you have to soak the bread with it and pass it through the beaten eggs to fry the toast better. The egg makes them more soaked and better soaked in the oil and so they are well made. For fry the french toast, the oil must be very hot, otherwise they would not do well. There is no exact frying time, we must control them so that they do not burn and take them out when we consider that they are fried.


Before finishing, we drain the French toast well and put them on absorbent paper towels to remove all the excess oil so that they are not too oily.
