How to make lemon jelly

Prepare a delicious jelly with lemon flavor It is very simple. Of course, you should know that since this citrus is very acidic, we will add more sugar than in other jellies. If you like candy very much, we recommend you put 50 grams more of sugar or a spoonful of honey, in this way you will not notice so much the bitter taste of lemon.


The jelly can be found in powder or in leaves. If you have obtained the leaves, you should hydrate them. Place them in a bowl full of cold water so that they are gradually soaking. In case you have obtained it in powder, put a saucepan with boiling water, distribute the water in approximately six tablespoons, in different containers and sprinkle the gelatin. Then mix well so that the powders dissolve properly.


While you let the gelatin powder mixture stand or the leaves hydrate, grate the half lemon to mix the chips with the sugar. In this way, you will give a different touch to the sweet. Once you have the grated lemon, squeeze it to get its juice and store it in the fridge for later use.


Then, prepare a syrup by water and sugar. Fill a pot of water and pour the sugar. Boil it for about 5 minutes, but do not remove the solution. After this time, add the lemon juice that you have prepared before to the solution and let the mixture boil 5 minutes more.


After boiling, remove the syrup from the heat and add the jelly leaves well drained. If you have used the gelatin powder, pour the syrup over the jelly containers to add the lemon flavor.


Once you have all the ingredients mixed, let the solution warm for about 10 minutes. Then, pour the mixture into the molds or containers that you have chosen to then serve the jelly and place it in the refrigerator between 3 and 4 hours to solidify.
